Tractor Parade & Tractor Teeter-Totter Rules

Tractor Parade Rules
1. A driver must be at least sixteen years old and have a valid drivers license.
A driver between the ages of sixteen and eighteen must have written permission from a parent or guardian; this permission must be in the form of a liability-release form provided by HCAT&EC and signed and dated for this show. In addition, the driver must be supervised by the parent or guardian.
2. There shall be only one person on a tractor while it is moving, unless the tractor has a specific provision for one or more passengers; if so, this provision must meet with the approval of a safety officer.
3. A tractor must never be left in gear when parked; this is mandated to reduce the possibility of accidental damage or injury when the tractor is restarted at a later time.
4. A tractor is never to be left unattended while running.
5. Each tractor must be equipped with a kill switch or similar device readily accessible to the driver.
6. While participating in a parade, a driver must always drive parallel to the spectators.
7. Candy or other objects are never to be thrown to spectators during a parade.
8. A driver should maintain a distance of at least three times the length of the tractor between that vehicle and the one immediately in front. Caution and good judgment must be exercised at all times.
9. A tractor is not to be driven in spectator parking or viewing areas. A tractor participating in a parade is limited to the designated line-up and exit areas.
10. A crawler or a tractor with lugs may only cross paved areas in designated areas protected by mats.
Note: These rules are subject to change. Revised 4-4-04
